Vision in Albinism: Structure and Function Video
Presentation given by Dr. C. Gail Summers at the 12th National NOAH conference in 2008 entitled, “Vision in Albinism: Structure & Function”.
This session includes an overview of the eye and how it works, how vision develops, and then focus on the functional and structural differences in an individual with albinism. Include in the presentation will be an explanation of refractive errors, use of eyeglasses and contact lenses, and methods used to treat the eye problems in albinism, including surgery.
The National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation (NOAH) is a non profit organization that offers information and support to people with albinism, their families and the professionals who work with them.
