Caramel Brownies

.Preheat oven to 350 degrees .Lightly grease a 13 X 9 cake pan .Unwrap and place into a microwavable bowl: 55 light Kraft Caramels. Add 1/3 cup evaporated milk and set aside. .In a large mixing bowl combine 1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake mix 1/3 cup evaporated milk 3/4 cup melted margarine or butter .Mix all together, just until well blended

.Divide mixture and pat just over 1/2 of the mixture into
the cake pan, making sure it is evenly spread—even
into the corners
.Bake for 6 minutes

.While cake is baking, melt the caramels in the microwave Melt 2–3 min, stir. Then another 2-3 min, stir again. Repeat until completely melted. .After cake has cooked 6 min., remove from oven, sprinkle 1 6oz. pkg of chocolate chips all over the cake. .Now pour the melted caramel over the chocolate chips .Dot the remaining cake batter on top as evenly as you can—not necessarily touching each other. .Return cake to oven for an additional 18 minutes. .Cool – then cut into squares.
